Established in June 2024 and based at The Stockroom, our club brings together people with a shared love of imagery. From beginners to seasoned professionals, everyone is welcome here.

What makes The Shutter Club unique is our philosophy: there are no rules, no competitions, and no pressure. Photography is deeply personal—what’s good or bad is entirely up to you. Whether you’re an expert in camera settings or someone who’s just starting to explore, we believe the key is simple: don’t overthink it, take the shot, and learn as you go.

For those needing dedicated spaces, we also offer studio space and equipment for members to use, ideal for everything from portrait sessions to still-life photography.

It’s a Leatherhead Thing

Our first exhibition, It’s a Leatherhead Thing. This showcases the character of Leatherhead and its surroundings through the diverse perspectives of our members. For many, it was also an introduction to the process of preparing for an exhibition, offering valuable experience and insight.
